Facebook has also introduced new labels for its Reels video player that explain the reason behind a specific reel. For example, Facebook will now tell you it’s showing a particular Reel because one of your friends liked the video.

Additionally, Facebook is making it easier to locate relevant Reels by including Reels in the primary navigational menu at the upper right of Facebook Watch to give users easy access to short-form videos. Furthermore, while watching videos on Facebook, users can scroll between Reels and long-form videos.

Meta included support for long Personalization Facebook Reels of up to 90 seconds, with some brand new creative tools that include a brand new template feature that lets users make Reels using trending templates.

Meta has stated previously that Reels is the fastest-growing feature on its platform and continues to expand rapidly. In the last week, Zuckerberg stated during the quarterly earnings conference that the amount of time used using Instagram has Increased by More than 24 percent since the launch of Reels the service due to AI-powered recommendations for content.

Meta CFO Susan Li seemed to shy away from an analyst query about whether Facebook Reels Personalization was having the same impact on Facebook however she did mention that on Facebook AI-driven suggestions that don’t originate from directly connected connections are increasing the engagement of users.
