Meta is unveiling two new features on Instagram created to offer more avenues to advertise as Meta faces a weak advertising demand. The social network has announced that it’s experimenting with advertisements in the results of searches to target people who are actively looking for products, businesses, and content. The ads will be displayed in the feed which users can scroll through when they click on a page from search results.

Following the initial testing period, Meta plans to launch advertisements in the results of searches across the globe in the next few months. This launch is likely to be a snub to the application from a consumer viewpoint, as it brings advertisements to a different part of Facebook’s social media network.

After the advertisement is rolled out to the masses, users all over the globe will begin to see ads that are related to their search. For instance, If you look up “Skin Care,” you will be able to see relevant ads in the feed of results for searches. You can distinguish between posts that are ads and regular ones by looking for the “Sponsored” label under the account’s name.
