The official launch of Google’s Pixel 8 lineup is still more than four months off, however, leaked renderings and marketing photos have already offered a glimpse of the changes in design Google plans for this year’s update. Recently, photos from the hands-on Features Pro were posted online. Pixel 8 Pro emerged online thanks to a tester who was given the phone by Google’s device team for test purposes. Unfortunately, the tester did not comply with their non-disclosure agreement (NDA) by posting images from the phone on Reddit.
The appearance of The Pixel 8 Pro bears the distinct Pixel style, however, there are some notable differences to its predecessor which was that of the Pixel 7 Pro. In the leaked image of the back of the phone, we can clearly see the new triple-camera configuration, which is now housed in one glass oval and departing from the separate telephoto lens configuration that was with earlier models like the 7 Pro. A different interesting feature that is visible beneath that flash can be seen as a sensor that measures the temperature of the user’s body.

Although specific specifications for the camera aren’t yet available but earlier leaks suggest Features Pro could have a Pixel 8 Pro might feature 50-megapixel primary sensors and a 64-megapixel ultrawide and a 48-megapixel Telephoto lens. The photo that shows on the back of the Pixel 8 Pro reveals the phone’s fastboot screen. It includes “Husky” (the the rumored codename of Pixel 8 Pro) Pixel 8 Pro) and boasts impressive specs of 12GB LPDDR5 Samsung RAM as well as 128GB in internal storage. In addition, it is apparent that Google has gone with flat displays, eschewing the curved display that was used in earlier models.
At present there aren’t any leaks on the pricing on Google’s Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. But, when you consider factors such as inflation, the economy and other factors that could affect prices, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see an increase in costs compared to earlier models. A possible sign of this could be the Pixel 7a which was launched with a price tag of $499 that is higher than the $450 price tag of Google’s Pixel 6a. With just a difference of $100 from the price at which it was launched for the Pixel 7, it’s likely that an increase in the price of Google’s Pixel 8 is possible as well.
