Actor Irfan Khan dies – There is bad news about Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan. Great actors of the film world are no longer among us. Irfan said goodbye to this world at the age of 54. The actor who gave us some fantastic, and real world performances, actor Irfan Khan died after being treated for a colon infection. He was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in 2018 and since had been under treatment in India and overseas.

Irrfan Khan’s Angrezi Medium recently had it global premier on OTT platforms. He was among the most dependable and intriguing character of Indian cinema in recent times. Amitabh Bachchan tweeted saying his contribution was invaluable to Hindi cinema. The actor had been unwell for a long time. Earlier this week, he was hospitalised after being diagnosed with colon infection. He had only recently lost his mother.

Saahabzaade Irfan Ali Khan (born 7 January 1966) (died 29th April 2020), credited as Irrfan Khan or simply Irrfan, was an Indian film actor, known for his work predominantly in Hindi cinema, as well as his works in British films and Hollywood.

He made his screen debut with the Academy Award-nominated film, Salaam Bombay! (1988). Followed by a series of roles in films that failed to propel his career forward, he received critical acclaim for playing negative roles in the drama films Haasil (2003) and Maqbool (2004), for the former he won the Filmfare Award for Best Villain.

The successful drama Life in a… Metro (2007) marked a turning point in Khan’s career, earning him praise and several awards including the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.

He rose to prominence with his portrayal of Paan Singh Tomar in the acclaimed biographical sports drama Paan Singh Tomar (2011), which garnered him the National Film Award for Best Actor and a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor.
