Apple solves iMessage problems after an outage

If you’ve had issues accessing iMessage earlier in the day it’s not a problem that’s unique to you. The tech giant’s page earlier stated “Users might not be able to download or send attachments via iMessage.”

According to a third-party monitoring service Downdetector, a third-party web monitoring service users also had problems with sending or receiving emails. It is believed that the issues started at about 8:50 a.m. PDT or 11:50 a.m. EDT.

Apple did not reply to requests to comment on the issues. It’s not clear what caused the outage. Other services on the Apple website like iCloud or the App Store, weren’t affected by the outage today. However, iMessage Apple’s support site indicates that a few users were also experiencing problems with the Photos application. The issues seem to be resolved.
