Facebook Gaming, a division of Meta made it clear that users can now play games when they make video calls on Messenger. At the time of launch, there are 14 games for free play that you can play in Messenger video calls for iOS, Android, and the web. These games include well-known titles such as Words With Friends, Card Wars, Exploding Kittens, and Mini Gold FRVR.
To play the games, you’ll need to initiate video calls on Messenger and then tap on the button for group modes located in the middle, and then click upon”Play” and then tap on the “Play” icon. Once you’ve done that, you can explore the games collection. The company says that you need to have at least two people on your phone to be able to engage in games.
“Facebook Gaming is excited to announce that you can now play your favorite games during video calls on Messenger,” the company said in its Blog Article “This new, shared experience in Messenger makes it easy to play games with friends and family while in a video call, allowing you to deepen connections with friends and family by engaging in conversations and gameplay at the same time.”

The company claims it’s striving to bring more games that are free on the platform in the coming year. Facebook Gaming is inviting developers who would like to integrate this feature in their games to get in touch with Facebook Gaming.
The announcement is announced just as a Facebook application in October. The app has been launched in April of 2020, prior to the time of pandemic’s outbreak to allow users to stream their preferred streamers, play games on the go, and participate in gaming groups. Facebook stated that at the time, users will be able to find their streamers, games, and groups while browsing Gaming on the Facebook application.
