Instagram Reels is getting a series of improvements aimed at creators. Meta revealed today that it would be adding an area for popular audio and hashtags for Reels as well as expanding the range of offers on Reels to other countries, enhancing Reels editing tools as well as adding new metrics, and much more.

With this new update, creators will now be able to view the most popular songs on Reels. They will be able to determine how many times the music has been played and tap to use the song themselves or save it to use in future use. Creators will also be able to find out what the most popular topics and hashtags are for Reels. To access the new location for the latest content creators, go into their professional Dashboard and click “Check Today’s Reels Trends” from the “Check today’s Reels Trends” option. After that, they’ll be directed to the “Reels Trends” page where they can discover the most popular audio and hashtags.

Instagram will also be expanding the gift rewards feature, which allows creators to earn money from more countries over the next few weeks. The feature will roll out to Australia, Canada, France, Mexico, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Gifts, which began testing in January of this year, lets users offer a favorite creator cash-based assistance through customized virtual gift cards. The gifts can be purchased through the Instagram app by using Stars, the cryptocurrency that is used to purchase virtual items. and range in price from 10 stars up to hundreds of stars.

Additionally, the social media platform has added a new feature that shows creators whose fans have sent them gifts. When creators tap the heart icon that is new to their fans and receives an email that informs them that the creator has seen and was able to recognize the gift they received.

The update also helps makers to make edits on your Reels on Instagram since Instagram has merged audio clips, video text, stickers, and other content under one editing screen. Instagram claims this update helps creators to match and time elements of their Reels to the appropriate times in a more visual manner. Instagram plans to offer additional tools to help edit Reels more simply and easily for creators.
