Meta announced today that it will be adding new body forms along with new hair textures and improved clothing for its characters. The company also revealed that more than a billion Avatars were made across its platforms.
Beginning this month users can choose from a greater variety of body shape options including two curvier body types. Meta claims it is updating some of its current options to differentiate them and also. While Meta was previously able to allow you to select the type of body you want to use for your avatar however, the company claims the options available were identical and that’s why it’s coming out with new options.
Additionally, Meta has overhauled how the avatar’s hairstyle, clothing, and eyes appear on images, stickers, profile photos as well as cover photos.

We’ve also redesigned our lighting model to bring some shimmer to your face, allowing them to shine and bring your character into focus.”
