A new feature from the iOS version of the iPhone that was released back in the month of October is getting observed. Not everyone is happy with it.
The aim of green energy charging, which was introduced with iOS 16.1, is to ensure that iPhone users are able to rely less on energy sources that use fossil fuels through “selectively charging only when lower carbon emission power is in the.”
When the feature is turned on, according to Apple, “your iPhone will be able to forecast the carbon emissions from the local grid of energy and utilizes it as a source of power to recharge your iPhone in times of less electricity production.”
The concept, Tom’s Guide says is that charging is optimized when your grid is using less carbon emissions, which is, either green energy sources (think solar, wind) or off-peak hours

Charge times may be longer, but most likely you will not be aware of it. While it could require a longer time to recharge, it is likely to be active even when you’re sleeping.
