Microsoft’s services are returned online after a period of downtime that lasted longer than 4 hours. The headline has been updated to reflect this.

“We discovered that a change in the Microsoft Wide Area Network (WAN) affected connectivity between clients connecting to the internet to Azure and between regional services, and ExpressRoute connectivity,” Microsoft stated in their Azure cloud service website.

Microsoft announced that it has changed a network setting which was likely to be the reason for the downtime and Microsoft is keeping track of its services. Additionally Xbox Support said that Xbox Support account said that the services that are experiencing issues will be restored online.
