Microsoft Loop, a Notion-like hub to manage projects and tasks which sync between Microsoft 365 apps and services it was launched in a public view today.
The loop is accessible to those who have the Microsoft Account or Azure Active Directory account. The companion app available for iOS as well as Android is expected to launch in the near future; Microsoft didn’t provide firm dates.
The platform was unveiled during Ignite 2021 in the year 2020, Loop could be Microsoft’s solution to Google Workspace Spaces, which offers dashboards that allow collaborative projects that are digitally-first and in real-time. Similar to many teams-oriented productivity platforms, Loop has progress-tracking tools for projects, as well as two-way sync with other platforms, including Trello.

What’s so special in it? It’s because Loop is comprised of three primary components that comprise Loop parts, Loop pages and Loop workspaces. They allow users to copy and paste live content blocks into applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Word. (My friend Frederic Lardinois once compared the experience to the disastrous Google Wave.) Microsoft claims it’s been intended to bridge the gaps in working with virtual teams, gaps that became evident during the outbreak, at the time that Loop was invented.
Loop components are basically JavaScript widgets that allow users to collaborate when they are in the middle of their work, such as in an email, chat documents, online meetings or document. Components can be as basic as lists, tables , and notes or as intricate as a customer sales prospect through Dynamics 365, and they remain in sync with Microsoft 365 apps.
