Apple Music Classical is now available on the Google Play Store, it brings the company’s app that plays classical music for Android users who have access to an Apple Music subscription or an Apple One subscription. The app’s launch was first reported on the web by 9to5Mac.

In 2021 Apple purchased the streaming music service for classical musicians Primephonic and also announced plans to launch an app for classical music in the near future. Apple Music Classical first debuted on the iPhone earlier in the season in March. In addition, the Android release of this app will be launched prior to the launch of an improved application that is compatible with iPad along with Mac.

More than 5 million tracks in the app at present in addition to 50 million data points that contain the characteristics of more than 20,000 composers. There are 115,000+ original works, and more than 350,000+ movements. The data can help Apple Music subscribers find recordings throughout the catalog using the app’s search engine which is specially designed specifically for classical music.
